Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Music Director to lead our worship services and music programs at Kingsway Baptist Church. The ideal candidate will have a strong musical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating inspiring worship experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to plan and select music for Sunday services and special events.
  • Lead the worship team in rehearsals and Sunday services, ensuring high-quality music and worship experiences.
  • Manage the care and use of musical instruments and equipment, including budgeting and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music program, including recruiting and training vocalists and instrumentalists.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Christian music trends and styles, incorporating new music into our worship services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Music or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years' experience leading worship services.
  • Strong vocal and instrumental skills, with the ability to play the organ.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Lead Pastor and worship team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with church presentation platforms, sound and video systems, and social media.
  • Ability to innovate and improve worship services and music programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Christian music across multiple styles and cultures.
