**Job Summary**

Creative Manitoba is seeking a skilled Features Reporter to join our team. As a Features Reporter, you will be responsible for researching and writing engaging feature stories that showcase the diverse culture and community of Winnipeg.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct interviews with individuals from various backgrounds and write compelling feature stories.
  • Work closely with the Features Editor to develop story ideas and pitches.
  • Research and write a recurring feature (Whose House, Origin Stories, Critipeg) once per week.
  • Write the PROFile feature once per week.
  • Collaborate with the Visual Team to arrange for corresponding visual content.
  • Meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Attend weekly pitch meetings, monthly section meetings, and professional development workshops.
  • Write a cover feature once per semester.

**Relationship with Colleagues:**

  • Reports to the Features Editor.
  • Collaborates with the Managing Editor, Copy Editor, and Photo Team.

**Requirements:**

  • A flexible schedule and availability for pitch meetings during the academic year.

**Compensation:**

$170/week.
