Position: Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic

Work Environment- Outdoor settings
- Dusty conditions
- High noise levels
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery to identify issues and malfunctions.
- Utilize computerized and other diagnostic tools to assess repair needs.
- Manage parts inventory and order necessary components.
- Adjust machinery and replace or repair faulty parts.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Conduct performance tests on repaired equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Install and adjust components on new machinery.
- Perform cleaning, lubrication, and general maintenance tasks.
- Execute repair work on heavy trucks.
- Service attachments and operational tools.
- Inspect and repair emission control systems.
- Support process and machine operators in mineral and metal processing.
- Conduct major internal engine repairs or overhauls.
- Install and align engines and machinery.
- Work on hydraulic-operated attachments.
- Service industrial lift trucks and forklifts.
- Handle hydraulic transmissions.
- Maintain tracked vehicle suspensions and steering systems.
- Repair brake systems.
Must have personal transportation.
Physical Demands- Physically demanding tasks.
- Attention to detail is crucial.
- Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Good hand-eye coordination required.
- Overtime may be necessary.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Tools and EquipmentPersonal tools are required for this position.
