About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Me-An Poppin's Practically Perfect Manpower. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes are presented to a high standard.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take responsibility for cleaning kitchen and work areas.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and working under pressure.
