Role Overview
The Practical Nurse plays a vital role in supporting our healthcare team by preparing treatment areas, gathering patient histories, and performing essential medical tasks as directed by supervising physicians. This position is integral in ensuring that our guests receive outstanding care and the highest level of service during their visit.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Practical Nurse include, but are not limited to:
- Addressing various dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, and skin infections.
- Monitoring and documenting patient symptoms and progress.
- Conducting basic medical procedures and educating patients on self-care and preventive measures.
- Ensuring proper sterilization of medical equipment between patient visits.
- Providing confidential counseling to patients regarding procedures and treatments.
- Assisting physicians with documentation and billing requirements.
- Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance skills.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of treatment areas.
- Collaborating effectively with the healthcare team to promote a cohesive work environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the relevant provincial licensing body.
- Active CPR certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- Preferred experience in dermatology.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.
