Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will support store leadership by managing and coordinating the procedures of the Loss Prevention and Operations division. They will implement programs and protocols aimed at reducing losses while ensuring a secure and welcoming shopping atmosphere across the stores they oversee.
Your Contributions- Champion company initiatives and become a knowledgeable resource for identifying loss and safety challenges within the retail environment.
- Enforce loss prevention and operational policies, strategies, and procedures while working towards the Company's overarching goals.
- Offer constructive guidance and mentorship on loss prevention and workplace safety to team members.
- Evaluate risks within the store by ensuring a comprehensive safety program is operational; identify patterns in incidents to devise and execute preventive measures.
- Safeguard customers, employees, and company assets by minimizing losses and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Educate team members on effective loss control measures, including internal theft, external theft, and operational discrepancies.
- Collaborate with store personnel and alert management teams to any potential concerns, suspicious behaviors, or incidents.
- Foster accountability for policies and procedures, while monitoring trends in loss prevention and workplace safety.
- Design and conduct training sessions on loss prevention for all store staff.
- Utilize available tools to assess performance metrics related to losses, expenses, and safety for the stores under your purview.
- Work in conjunction with other departments (e.g., HR, Legal, Communications) to uphold the employer's reputation.
- Provide recommendations regarding loss prevention and safety to store management teams.
- Proven experience in conducting audits and quality assessments within the retail sector.
- Knowledge of auditing practices; familiarity with federal and state regulations; expertise in inventory management; loss prevention; and surveillance systems.
- Experience in conducting investigations in a retail context.
- Proficient in utilizing physical security systems (e.g., CCTV).
- Possession of a regular license from the Bureau de la sécurité privée (BSP Security Guarding).
- Investigation license (considered a significant advantage).
- Post-secondary education (an asset).
- Strong administrative capabilities; adeptness with IT tools; ability to complete documentation, reports, and logs.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Standard 40-hour workweek (additional hours may be required based on store demands).
