Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul

LINK-X TRANSPORT INC. is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing professional and courteous service.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs as needed.
  • Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Teamwork: Work as part of a two-person team or convoy, communicating effectively with dispatch and other drivers to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train, but previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), and valid driver's license.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
