Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated Senior Systems Administrator who will play a pivotal role in enhancing our organizational capabilities through effective management of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Systems Administrator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing, configuring, and maintaining essential infrastructure components in both cloud and on-premises settings.
  • Ensuring optimal performance of IT systems while overseeing lifecycle processes.
  • Providing exceptional support for current and future applications.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • A degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications in ITIL and Organizational Change (PROSCI, AMPG) are preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of five years in systems administration or a closely related field.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a focus on mentoring and supporting team members.
  • Expertise in enterprise networking, computing, and cloud architectures.
  • Proficient in data flow diagrams, web development, and application development.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, emphasizing a customer-first approach.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure, Azure Databricks, and Python.

Core Duties:

Infrastructure Management:

  • Design and oversee critical platform components that support the organization.
  • Lead lifecycle management of infrastructure elements to ensure high availability.
  • Develop strategies for complex integrations between platforms to enhance IT systems.
  • Monitor management systems for performance and security compliance.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execute technical resolutions.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Engage with stakeholders to assess business needs for infrastructure development.
  • Lead project planning and management, promoting inclusivity within the team.

Resource Management:

  • Design and implement strategic goals for agency systems and software.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies that enhance efficiency.
  • Manage budgets and troubleshoot challenges in project delivery.

Additional Information:

  • Completion of mandatory training requirements is essential.
  • A valid class five driver’s license is required.
