Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine tests and procedures within the Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Laboratory at Trillium Health Partners. This role requires a high degree of initiative and self-direction, with a focus on quality assurance and good laboratory practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine tests and procedures within the Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Laboratory
- Work collaboratively with the laboratory team to ensure high-quality results and efficient laboratory operations
- Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless laboratory operations
Requirements:
- Graduate of a recognized program for Medical Laboratory Technologists
- Registered and a member in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
- Experience and demonstrated understanding of quality assurance and good laboratory practice
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Recent experience working in Hematology and Transfusion Medicine
