Position Overview

As a vital member of Simdar Inc., the Room Care Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities. This position requires a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish various types of flooring to ensure a pristine environment.
  • Furniture Care: Dust and maintain furniture to uphold a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Textile Management: Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered items to keep them in top condition.
  • Bedding Services: Make beds and change linens to provide comfort for our guests.
  • Supply Distribution: Distribute clean towels and toiletries to enhance guest experience.
  • Linen Management: Stock and organize the linen closet efficiently.
  • Sanitation Duties: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to ensure safety and hygiene.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report items that are lost or found within the premises.
  • Guest Assistance: Attend to guests' requests for additional supplies or items as needed.
  • Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers regularly.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and bright environment.
  • Changing Room Maintenance: Clean changing rooms and showers to ensure a pleasant experience for all users.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Engage in repetitive tasks that require physical stamina.
  • Perform duties that are physically demanding, requiring strength and endurance.
  • Exhibit a keen attention to detail in all cleaning tasks.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language Proficiency: English or French.
  • Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
