Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Highway Fleet Maintenance LTD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Troubleshoot and inspect heavy-duty equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using advanced diagnostic techniques and tools.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy-duty equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Attachment and Tool Service: Service attachments and working tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Emission Control Systems: Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding work environment, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail required to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
