About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Coach to join our team at Kelowna Gymnastix. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will be responsible for leading our competitive programs and developing training and practice sessions that drive athlete success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and lead competitive programs, ensuring a high level of athlete engagement and performance.
  • Plan, develop, and implement training and practice sessions that cater to the needs of our athletes.
  • Motivate and prepare athletes for competitive events, analyzing and evaluating their performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Teach and demonstrate athletic, fitness, and sports activities and techniques, promoting a culture of excellence and sportsmanship.
  • Ensure the health and safety of our athletes, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate work activities and promote a positive team environment.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a coaching or sports development role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate athlete performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for growth.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all athletes.
