Job Description

**Job Title:** Shift Supervisor - Operations Team Lead

**Job Type:** Full-time

**About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our Operations Team as a Team Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of operations personnel and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of operations personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility
  • Develop and implement procedures and policies to ensure compliance with company HSE policies and guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments to support production targets and ensure timely delivery of input data
  • Interface with Technical Services Department for integrity issues and compliance checks
  • Interface with HSSE department for compliance and improvements
  • Mentor and influence personnel for implementation of best practices
  • Ensure 100% compliance with company HSE policies and guidelines
  • Champion HSE as a member of the LNG Operations Team
  • Lead HSE Shift Meeting/safety walks/audits if and when required
  • Timely intervention to mitigate risks and ensure safety of personnel and plant
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to influence overall safety behavior in the plant
  • Safeguarding systems checks lists are implemented/completed by Shift Operations to agreed frequencies and standards
  • Ensure that Shift Operations Emergency Response capabilities are 100% met during shift period

**Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years in Oil & Gas Production Facilities
  • 4th Class Power Engineering Diploma as a minimum
  • Previous experience in Operations in a Supervisor or Lead/Head Operator role
  • Previous experience during project phase including Commissioning and Start-Up
  • Previous experience working with other departments to support production targets
  • Experienced in Leading a First Intervention Team during Emergency Responses
  • Fully versed in Managing Safe Work with Permit to Work System

**Additional Requirements:

  • Motivated person with a mentoring and coaching approach
  • Energetic in pursuit of continuous improvement processes
  • Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams, contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset
  • Communication/interpersonal skills – to be able to interact with front line workers through to management
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks
  • Ability to work well under pressure handling tasks, targets and changing priorities within tight time frames
  • Shares knowledge readily and encourages personal development
  • Expertise with a variety of computer programs (e.g. MS Office)
  • A valid driver's license (with abstract) and passport
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
