Overview
SLR Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Remediation Specialist to enhance our dedicated team of environmental professionals. We are in search of an experienced individual who possesses a deep understanding of remediation methodologies, technologies, and innovative practices to contribute to our collaborative remediation efforts. As a senior expert, you will play a pivotal role in our technical service portfolio, crafting and executing cutting-edge remedial strategies while offering sound technical guidance to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will encompass:
  • Delivering strategic and technical remediation consulting services to clients and SLR personnel engaged in intricate remedial projects across the nation.
  • Formulating Remedial Options Analyses, Remedial Action Plans, pilot study scopes, engineering designs, and associated technical documentation, including reports, drawings, correspondence, cost estimates, work plans, and specifications for client and regulatory submissions.
  • Ensuring successful project execution concerning health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality assurance/control, and client satisfaction.
  • Identifying opportunities with clients across diverse sectors.
  • Collaborating with various SLR disciplines to broaden service offerings and cross-sell SLR's capabilities to existing clients.
  • Leading and supporting business development and proposal efforts to meet strategic objectives.
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate staff, providing guidance, and facilitating their professional growth.
  • Staying updated on emerging technologies and methodologies to advance industry practices.
  • Participating in and/or overseeing remedial field operations conducted by contractors and SLR personnel.

Additional Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package, including a base salary within the $150,000-$180,000 range and industry-standard benefits (vacation, health benefits, and wellness initiatives). Final compensation will be determined based on education, professional qualifications, experience, internal equity, and location.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field (e.g., environmental engineering, civil engineering, earth systems science) - a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Familiarity with provincial, local, and industry-specific regulations and best practices in remediation and site assessment.
  • Experience in:
    • Developing and executing remediation strategies for various environmental media.
    • Designing, installing, and assessing in-situ remedial systems or field applications.
    • Managing remedial and environmental projects and project teams.
    • Contract management or tender specifications for large-scale remediation projects.
    • Successful business development, client management, and proposal preparation.
    • Overseeing performance monitoring and providing technical review of reports.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or Geoscientist in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to undertake short-term travel as required.
