Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Lawtons in New Minas, Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, process, and compound prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners, ensuring accuracy and authenticity.
  • Provide injections and vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions.
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies, maintaining accurate records.
  • Conduct final checks on prepared prescriptions to ensure accuracy.
  • Confirm the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
Requirements:
  • Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification program.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
