Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics
    • Operate and maintain a variety of commercial vehicles, including straight and articulated trucks, to transport goods and materials.
    • Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and itineraries to ensure efficient delivery of goods.
    • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
    • Prepare and submit necessary documentation, including driver logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
    • Identify and report any vehicle defects or issues to the maintenance team.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including hours of service, weight limits, and safety standards.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Working Conditions
