Job Purpose: The Pipeyard Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory within the pipe yard. This involves managing materials, loading transportation vehicles, and systematically organizing incoming pipe deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire knowledge of MRC Global's product offerings, operational procedures, and protocols.
- Conduct inspections and facilitate the unloading of materials from supplier trucks.
- Oversee site inventory and contribute to inventory verification processes.
- Organize and transfer materials to designated storage areas.
- Label materials with appropriate identification.
- Prepare and load orders for shipment.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse environment.
- Identify and report any workplace hazards.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Capability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime and adapt to shift schedules.
Additional Qualifications:
- Documentation proving legal work eligibility.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Adherence to MRC Global's guidelines and standards.
