Web Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team at Schulkindbetreuung. As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our customer-facing and internal administrative Web site functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve current Web site functionality
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot support issues
  • Develop, test, and launch new features
  • Create and maintain a dev environment for development and testing
  • Develop all front and back-end Web development
  • Work with web designer and other stakeholders to implement UI of Web pages and email newsletters
  • Provide technical expertise for coworkers and external contractors
  • Coordinate and direct various other workers, including outsourced developers
Required Skills:
  • Experience with Zen-Cart or other similar open-source e-commerce software platform
  • Respect for good programming practices
  • Ability to quickly implement a given design in a standards-compliant and pixel-perfect manner
  • Strong understanding of Web design and development projects and related technologies
  • Experience working closely with web developers and designers
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently, without close supervision
  • Disciplined self-starter
  • Highly organized
Highly Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related fields
  • Experience with mobile app development
  • Experience with Photoshop
  • Locksmithing or automotive knowledge

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Includes medical, dental & prescription coverage and paid vacation.
