Telecom Construction Labourer Job Description

Valo Networks is seeking a skilled Telecom Construction Labourer to join our team and contribute to the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications infrastructure. As a Telecom Construction Labourer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and utilize tools, equipment, and materials required for telecom projects
  • Perform tasks such as vault installations, installing ground rods, conduit connections and couplers, hand digging, swamping for equipment, spotting for truck and trailers on site landscaping, set up & take down of traffic signs, installing appropriate materials to identify excavations and maintain safety
  • Participate in the placement of fiber optics accurately and efficiently
  • Safely move and carry construction materials and supplies, some of which may weigh in excess of 30 kg
  • Interpret and follow project plans, diagrams, and specifications
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to different elements
  • Maintain safe distance and practices while working around mobile equipment
  • Maintain open and effective communication with team members regarding project coordination and preparation
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a telecom construction environment
  • Previous construction laborer experience, such as shallow utilities or pipeline is an asset
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications construction and or fiber to the home builds is an asset
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to provide a drivers abstract with minimal demerits
