Hilltop House is a 61-bed long-term care facility located in Squamish, BC. We provide compassionate care for seniors with complex needs, offering a range of services including respite care, community bathing programs, and adult day care.
Position Summary
As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Hilltop House by providing reliable transportation services for our residents and staff. You will be responsible for transporting clients to various locations as scheduled, assisting them with embarking and disembarking, and delivering supplies and materials to different departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and efficient transportation services for residents and staff to and from appointments, activities, and other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Transport a variety of supplies and materials between departments and locations as required.
- Maintain accurate records of trips and mileage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Grade 10 education or equivalent.
- Two years of recent experience providing transportation services, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Valid Class 4 vehicle license (unrestricted).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
