Pharmacy Relief Specialist

The Pharmacy Relief Specialist supports the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacists in various facets of Pharmacy Operations.

1. Deliver exceptional patient service and assist in locating products on the sales floor.
2. Build and nurture strong professional relationships with District Managers and other key stakeholders.
3. Receive and process prescriptions and refill requests from customers, healthcare providers, or medical facilities.
4. Ensure that all prescriptions are filled with precision, efficiency, and safety while adhering to established workflow protocols and providing counsel to patients on pharmaceutical products.
5. Maintain proper storage conditions for pharmaceutical items.
6. Implement processes in accordance with Operational Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
7. Capable of operating all pharmacy equipment, including registers and computer systems.
8. Safeguard patient confidentiality at all times and comply with provincial regulations set forth by the governing body.
9. Ensure patients are informed of all eligible services available to them, such as medication reviews and injections, to cater to specific patient requirements.
10. Adhere to Operational Best Practices regulations as outlined in the Relief Pharmacist program.
11. Willingness to travel to various locations as per the schedule established by the Relief program coordinator.
12. Foster collaborative relationships with other healthcare professionals within the store environment, including clinics and community services.

• Age - 16 years or older
• License - Valid Pharmacist License (additional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization is optional)
