We are seeking a qualified educator to join our team at Edmonton Catholic Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Nehiyaw Pimatisiwin Cree Language and Culture programming to students at six sites, serving over 800 students.

Program Overview

Our Nehiyaw Pimatisiwin Cree Language and Culture program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the Cree language and culture. The program is delivered in a supportive and inclusive environment, with a focus on student engagement and academic success.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Nehiyaw Pimatisiwin Cree Language and Culture programming to students at six sites
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of the Cree language and culture, as well as experience in teaching and education. A degree in a related field and a valid teaching certification are also required.
