Michaels is seeking a Service Team Member to join our team in our Store - VAN-PORT COQUITLAM, BC location.
Job Summary:As a Service Team Member, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers in finding products, and ensuring a smooth checkout process. You will also be responsible for receiving and processing merchandise, maintaining store displays, and performing other tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist customers in finding products, providing recommendations, and making sales.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
- Receive and process merchandise, including unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and rotating inventory.
- Maintain store displays, including setting up and breaking down displays, and ensuring merchandise is properly priced and labeled.
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including opening and closing the store, and participating in visual merchandising and inventory management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The Store Team Member will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent exposure to customers, merchandise, and equipment. The role requires standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a variety of temperatures.
