Job Overview: Project Execution Leader - Quebec

Reporting to the Director of Project Execution for Sustainable Infrastructures in Canada, the Project Execution Leader for Quebec will oversee the financial stability and implementation of energy performance agreements in the Quebec area. This position entails regular reporting on energy performance contracts (EPCs) executed for Johnson Controls (JCCLP) and its clients. Monthly reports will encompass financial assessments, project oversight, development processes, engineering tasks, and risk management, including warranty verification as detailed below:

Safety Compliance:

Ensure adherence to EPC and client safety protocols at the highest standards while actively engaging in incident reporting and investigations.

Project Oversight:

Act as the project management representative for all pre-contract initiatives. Track project timelines for each undertaking across Canada.Manage project documentation and financial tracking to guarantee precise and timely records and reports for clients and within Johnson Controls.Engage in significant subcontracting negotiations.Negotiate proposed modifications for each project with clients.

Project Development and Engineering:

Support sales teams in strategy formulation, content development, and execution. Monitor project scope, financial tracking, and upcoming contract preparations. This role includes direct reports such as project managers, construction managers, project coordinators, and site supervisors essential for project execution, alongside collaborative interaction with all resources involved in development, delivery, and monitoring.

Execution Methodology:

Take an active role in client workshops, participating through video conferences or in-person meetings for ongoing EPC projects. Engage remotely in internal reviews, leading discussions on backlogs, governance, and pre-contract evaluations. Maintain accurate weekly time and attendance records to reflect project costs accurately.

Qualifications:

Education:

Registered Professional Engineer. Additional qualifications such as CFA (Certified Financial Analyst), PMP (Project Management Professional), and CEM (Certified Energy Manager) are advantageous.

Experience:

Proven ability to map strategic plans.

Preferred Skills:

Strong background in energy performance contracts. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong analytical capabilities.Proficient in computer applications: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Project, along with familiarity with Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Adobe Writer.Strong customer relationship management and leadership skills.

Bilingualism is essential: Proficiency in both French and English.

Additional Requirements:

Must be eligible to obtain a secret level security clearance. Willingness to travel to various project sites across Canada is necessary.
