Job Summary

Elite Telecommunications is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Service and Repair: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment, repair cable signals, and diagnose and locate equipment faults.
  • Network and System Installation: Install electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems, circuits, and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centers.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment, and analyze test results to adjust, change, or repair switching systems, networks, associated equipment, and software.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and maintain test and service reports, and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
