Job Description

Job Title: Head of Engineering

Company: Leading Entertainment Provider

Location: Watford, Hybrid (2-3x a week in office)

Salary: up to £160,000 Base Salary + 25% Bonus + benefits

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead our digital engineering function and drive processes to ensure the scalability and stability of our digital services and platforms. As a key member of our innovation hub, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a digital platform strategy, supporting incident management, and optimizing content management systems to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Digital Platform Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of a digital platform strategy that ensures the scalability and stability of our digital services and platforms.
  • Support Incident Management: Provide support for incident management and ensure that systems and platforms are maintainable, reliable, scalable, and resilient.
  • Maintain and Optimize Content Management Systems: Maintain and optimize content management systems to meet business objectives and ensure that they are secure and reliable.
  • Use Data and Analytics for Proactive and Reactive Strategies: Use data and analytics to inform proactive and reactive strategies and ensure that systems and platforms are optimized for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Digital Products and Operations: Collaborate with Heads of Digital Products and Operations to enhance product features and ensure that systems and platforms are aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead a Geographically Diverse Team: Lead a geographically diverse team and ensure that robust security measures are in place to protect systems and platforms.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in similar roles, preferably in the Online Betting/Gaming industries.
  • Expertise: Expertise in site reliability, platform engineering, and systems administration.
  • Track Record: A track record of ensuring systems and platforms are maintainable, reliable, scalable, and resilient.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to Operate and Scale Systems: Ability to operate and scale systems, and nurture team capabilities.
