Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and motivate a team of 3-4 retail salespersons and sales clerks to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Operations and Administration
- Manage the sales floor, including inventory management, stock ordering, and merchandise returns.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Customer Service and Sales
- Ensure exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing product recommendations.
- Sell merchandise and promote products to customers to drive sales growth.
- Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high pressure to meet sales targets.
- Stand for extended periods, walk, and perform manual dexterity tasks, such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience in retail sales or management is an asset.
- Language and Communication
- Fluency in English is required.
- Work Schedule and Availability
- 35 to 40 hours per week.
