Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified individual with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience, particularly in leading cross-functional teams within the power electronics domain.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, familiarity with quality assurance frameworks, and adeptness in utilizing various testing instruments. Furthermore, strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills are essential.

Compensation: CAD $80,000 - $110,000. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage modifications for existing products and spearhead sustaining engineering initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with performance, quality, and reliability benchmarks.
  • Facilitate collaboration among various teams, including hardware, software, and mechanical engineers, supply chain, quality control, and manufacturing, to implement changes and resolve product-related challenges.
  • Diagnose power supply issues to ascertain root causes of failures and provide insights to design engineering and customer service teams to foster improvements or design modifications.
  • Supervise engineering change notifications (ECNs), conduct root cause analyses, and drive corrective measures, ensuring prompt execution and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct and compile reports for tests and experiments as necessary to support the product design team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team for hardware-centric products in the power electronics sector.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and familiarity with quality management systems.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and collaborative skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Preferred experience with EMC testing (FCC/CE) and/or safety testing (CSA/UL).
  • Proficient with a range of testing equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and environmental chambers.
