Job Summary:

Wright Tree Service of Canada is seeking a skilled Water Truck Driver to join our team. As a Water Truck Driver, you will be responsible for navigating around the City of Edmonton, ensuring that client-specified areas and vegetation are watered for the spring and summer.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate water truck and dump truck safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
  • Inspect loads to ensure cargo is secure.
  • Maintain accurate logs of working hours or vehicle service or repair status.
  • Inspect motor vehicles and follow safety procedures for vehicle operation.
  • Inspect cargo to ensure it is properly loaded or secured.
  • Record operational or production data.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or higher.
  • Ability to work as a crew member in a physically demanding environment.
  • Motivated to work both independently and as a team member with good time management.
  • Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record, air brakes endorsement a plus.
  • Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies, including holidays, weekends, and storm work.
  • Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards.
