Job Title: Home Health Care Worker

At ALA Family, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Care Worker to join our team. As a Home Health Care Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Mend clothing and linens, ensuring clients have clean and comfortable attire.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, keeping the home tidy and organized.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring clients have access to essential items.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a non-smoking environment.
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (not a condition of employment).
  • Ability to work in employer's/client's home.
Work Environment:

Our clients' homes are non-smoking environments, and we require our Home Health Care Workers to respect this policy.

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
