Insurance Agent Job Description

Aaxel Insurance Brokers Ltd. is seeking a skilled Insurance Agent to join our team. As an Insurance Agent, you will be responsible for assessing potential client markets, calculating premiums, and establishing client insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess potential institutional, business or individual client markets
  • Calculate premiums and establish client insurance coverage
  • Identify potential markets and ensure appropriate forms, medical examinations and other policy requirements are completed
  • Monitor insurance claims and respond to clients' enquiries
  • Provide customer service and information concerning group and individual insurance packages
  • Sell automobile, fire, health, life, property, marine, aircraft and other types of insurance
Requirements:
  • Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) licence
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in property/casualty insurance, commercial insurance, individual insurance, group insurance, automobile insurance, fire insurance, house insurance, personal insurance, and tenant insurance
  • 35 hours per week, permanent position
  • English language proficiency
