Job Summary:

Laprairie is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Crane Operator to join our team. As a Mobile Crane Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our mobile cranes, ensuring that all operations are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crane Operations: Assemble, set up, and rig the crane properly with booms, extensions, and hook blocks, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Lift Execution: Execute lifts from routine to highly complex and extra-heavy lifts, interpreting load charts and understanding the correct meaning of all notes and warnings.
  • Crane Maintenance: Perform routine inspection and maintenance as required, ensuring that the crane is in good working condition.
  • Safety and Compliance: Uphold HSE regulations and be aware of any site conditions that could affect crane operation, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Record Keeping: Complete and maintain accurate hours of service records, safety reports, and other work done on the crane while in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Must be a member in good standing with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955, and hold Red Seal Certification.
  • Experience: Must have experience with crane and heavy machinery operation, and be able to interpret load charts.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Travel: Ability to travel and work in various locations.
