Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Canadian Helicopters Limited. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and Maintenance: Plan and perform aircraft maintenance tasks, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and certify replacement parts prior to installation, ensuring that all work meets our high standards.
  • Facility Management: Organize and maintain the hangar facility, ensuring that it is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed, and that all work is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Travel: Travel to various work locations and environments as required, including remote sites and customer locations.
Qualifications:
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must hold a valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 AME licence.
  • Work Authorization: Must have the legal right to work in Canada, this position is not available for sponsorship.
  • Aircraft Certification: Hold or have held Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) on the AS350B2 and/or AS355N and/or B206.
  • Additional Skills: Organized and self-starter, customer focus, good communication skills, and positive attitude.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a sheet metal technician would be considered an asset.
  • Relocation: Must live in Sept-Îles or be willing to relocate to the area.
  • Away-from-Base Assignments: Ability to accept away-from-base assignments, at the customer request.
