Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Mother Baby Unit. As a key member of our inter-professional health care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-focused nursing care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Comply with policies and procedures related to patient observations and safety
  • Practice patient-centered care to ensure patient safety and well-being, including creating a therapeutic relationship and environment
  • Provide care in a compassionate and culturally sensitive manner
  • Respond to emergency situations and consult with colleagues as needed
  • Provide health education to patients and families, including discharge instructions
Qualifications:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum of two years of experience in obstetrics
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate
  • Completion of Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario Breastfeeding e-learning course
  • Current Fetal Health Surveillance certificate
  • Obstetrics Nursing certificate or enrolled within six months of hire
