Position Overview

The Automotive Painting and Refinishing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring vehicles are restored to their original aesthetic and functional condition. This position requires a blend of technical skills and attention to detail.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship program in automotive painting and refinishing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Replace and repair various components including front ends, body parts, doors, and underbody sections.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by masking and taping effectively.
  • Apply primers and finish coats to achieve a high-quality appearance.
  • Mix and match paint colors to ensure a perfect blend with existing vehicle finishes.
Training Opportunities
  • Pre-apprenticeship training programs.
  • Structured apprenticeship training levels one through three.
Experience Requirements

Applicants should have between 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in automotive painting and refinishing.

Work Environment
