Position Overview
Concentra, a leading healthcare organization in the United States, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor. This role is designed to complement your existing practice, allowing you to provide specialized care while maintaining your current commitments.
In this contract position, you will be responsible for treating patients on-site at Concentra for approximately four hours per week or biweekly. Our Advanced Specialists focus on managing complex medical cases, facilitating timely return to work, and promoting functional recovery. You will collaborate with other medical professionals and therapy providers to deliver both surgical and non-surgical interventions for work-related orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients on a flexible schedule that accommodates your private practice.
- Engage in case management and communicate effectively with employers regarding patient progress.
- Deliver treatments that significantly impact the well-being of patients seeking our services.
Compensation Structure
This position operates under a revenue-sharing model for compensation, reflecting the services provided as an independent contractor for Concentra.
Qualifications
- Experience in treating work-related injuries is preferred.
- Must meet the licensure requirements of the practicing state.
- Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program.
- Hold an unrestricted DEA license for the state of practice.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery is required.
Additionally, candidates must possess Medical Malpractice Insurance that covers them while providing services on-site.
