Pipefitter - Journeyman / Apprentice - Construction

Job Summary:

Jardeg-Construction is seeking a skilled Pipefitter - Journeyman / Apprentice to join our team for an upcoming project at a major industrial facility in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements;
  • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machinery;
  • Select and install the correct type and size of pipe required;
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to the required shape using hand and power tools;
  • Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping systems;
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems;
  • Test systems for leaks using testing equipment;
  • Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush systems;
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems;
  • Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • CSTS 2020 or SCOT certification;
  • WHMIS 2015 certification;
  • Fall Protection (OSSA preferred) certification;
  • Confined Space (OSSA preferred) certification;
  • Elevated Work Platform (OSSA preferred) certification;
  • Journeyperson certificate or registered apprentice status;
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada;
  • Satisfactory completion of Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.
