Job Overview

The Sustainability Project Coordinator (SPC) is tasked with overseeing the management of various initiatives within the Environmental Services Department. Functioning in a multifaceted and competitive landscape, this role will guide projects from inception to completion, ensuring safe and efficient operations with a focus on client satisfaction. Projects will be executed in accordance with established guidelines, adhering to schedules, contractual obligations, timelines, and financial plans to achieve successful results that foster ongoing growth and prosperity. Collaboration with team members will be essential to maintain open communication and uphold high standards of service delivery. The SPC will consistently perform duties while ensuring compliance with iCIMS, Inc.'s core values and exemplary ethical practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements project plans for smaller scale initiatives.
  • Engages with stakeholders effectively.
  • Ensures quality assurance and addresses challenges.
  • Maintains comprehensive project documentation.
  • Prepares work plans, contractor bidding documents, requests for proposals, and oversees contractor selection.
  • Manages, forecasts, and monitors all financial aspects related to projects, tracking site progress against planned activities.
  • Accountable for ensuring:
    • Effective management of interactions between various groups involved in the project, including oversight of subcontractors on-site.
    • Identification and management of all project risks through diligent maintenance of the project risk register.
    • Accurate technical contributions are integrated into all technical documentation, with necessary approvals from the leadership team.
  • Establishes and oversees a system for recording, tracking, and advancing all project documentation utilizing project management software.
  • Represents clients in regulatory applications and submissions by liaising with government and regulatory bodies.
  • Assists in evaluating environmental and regulatory risks and opportunities for new business ventures.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with vendors and other professional contacts.
  • Participates in training sessions, project meetings, and team discussions.
  • Implements corporate and client safety protocols.
  • Handles administrative tasks including claims, invoices, and other documentation within specified timelines.
  • Undertakes additional projects and assignments as necessary.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Holds a Technical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Must possess or be eligible for a professional designation (P.Ag, RP.Bio, P.Eng, P.Geo., etc.).
  • Additional education may include business management, project management, or other relevant technical disciplines.
  • A minimum of 6 years of project management experience, preferably in environmental-related projects.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in regulatory and environmental consulting.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of influencing decision-makers while building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic team environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach with a strong initiative.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite.
  • Proven capability to foster strong working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizations.
  • Strong skills in teamwork, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
