We are seeking locum family physicians to contribute to our collaborative healthcare environment.
Our multidisciplinary team comprises family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, mental health specialists, dietitians, and more, all working together to deliver comprehensive care. The North End Community Health Centre is committed to providing equitable access to healthcare services and programs, continually evolving to meet the needs of our diverse population.
We provide adaptable work schedules in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Our team addresses the various factors influencing the health and wellness of our clients, excelling in advocacy for the social determinants of health and significantly impacting the broader healthcare system. Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting patient examinations and documenting medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, and advising patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Providing consultations and referrals to other healthcare professionals.
- Acting as an advocate for patients.
- Prescribing and administering medications, treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations.
- Reporting births, deaths, and communicable diseases in accordance with public health regulations.
Work hours will be discussed with the clinic.
Required QualificationsCandidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) and certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is also required.
