Job Title: Framing Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at FLORA FRAMING LTD.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood and other materials. This includes reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to heights, noise, and dust. The work setting will be in various locations, including construction sites, commercial and residential areas.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Reliability and teamwork skills are essential
