Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Assistant Supervisor Relief is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. This role involves scheduling pharmacy assistants, coordinating workflow, and managing department personnel. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule pharmacy assistants to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Coordinate pharmacy workflow to optimize efficiency and productivity
- Manage department personnel, including scheduling, recruitment, performance management, and training
- Coach pharmacy assistants to deliver superior customer service and contribute to a positive working environment
- Promote PROfile Programs and educate pharmacy assistants
- Communicate operational requirements and changes to pharmacy support staff
- Complete monthly reporting and supervise inventory management
- Process customer transactions, including prescription assembly, refills, and compounding
- Perform administrative duties, including filing, supplies, and cleaning
- Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
- Data entry, manual third-party transactions, cycle counts, narcotic counts, and TMLs
- Product order receiving, deliveries, and drug order creation
- Pill pack assembly and BTC management
- Responsible for ensuring OH&S and regulatory requirements are implemented and maintained
- Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a pharmacy assistant or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of MS Suite
Preferred:
- Undergraduate degree, Pharmacy Technician Certificate, or equivalent recognized program
