About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machining Centre Operator to join our team at Z.R. Tool Inc. as a key member of our precision machining department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Set Up Machines: Safely operate and set up CNC machining centre equipment to perform repetitive machining operations, ensuring high precision and quality.
  • Verify Dimensions: Verify the dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Programming and Coding: Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, ensuring efficient and accurate machining operations.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Completion of an other trades certificate or diploma, with relevant experience in CNC machining and machine shop operations.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese an asset.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in a custom machine shop environment, with knowledge of milling machines and computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
  • Repetitive Machining Operations: Experience with turning and milling operations, with a strong understanding of precision machining principles.
  • Security and Safety: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and security protocols.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs), with good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
