About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machine Fitter to join our team at General Machinery & Cutter Inc. as a key member of our assembly team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fitting and Assembling: Fit and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Component Installation: Install major components such as gears, pumps, motors, or hydraulic assemblies, adhering to technical specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards, identifying and addressing any defects.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals, promoting a culture of reliability and teamwork.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail and quality standards, ensuring that all work meets the required specifications.
  • Language and Communication: Fluency in English is required, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Work Schedule: The successful candidate will work a regular schedule of 32 to 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
