We currently have an opening for a Cashier Team Leader. The essential skills we seek for our team include:

  1. Ensuring adequate cashier coverage during each shift, supervising staff, and providing timely assistance to customers. Cashier team leaders are responsible for resolving conflicts as they arise. Previous experience in grocery store cashier roles will enhance your success in this position.
  2. Responsible for recruiting new team members, cashier team leaders will train cashiers on their responsibilities. They will clarify guidelines, instruct on proper cash handling methods, and teach staff how to operate the cash register. A minimum of two years in a similar supervisory role is required.
  3. To maintain accuracy, cashier team leaders will review daily reports, approve overrides and voids, and manage cash counts for the day. They will also organize documentation and receipts post-audit. Proven experience in accounting is essential.
  4. Providing exceptional customer service, cashier team leaders will greet customers upon entry and address any inquiries or concerns. Previous experience in customer service roles will contribute to your success in this position.
