Job Summary

**Program Manager - Second Stage Transitional Housing New Build Project**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to oversee the operations and staff of our Second Stage and Short Stay Transitional Housing programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of services and facilities, as well as maintaining positive relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. **Program Oversight**: Oversee the Second Stage and Short Stay Transitional Housing programs, ensuring effective program and service delivery consistent with the Society's mandate, policies, legal, contractual, and budgetary requirements.

  2. **Staff Supervision**: Provide active supervision to program staff, including support, information, training, and case consultation. Monitor the service delivery of staff to ensure a high level of consistency and quality of service.

  3. **Program Development**: Participate in the development of long-range and strategic plans, assessing and resolving operational issues and policies. Oversee the scheduling of program staff and participate in the management on-call rotation.

  4. **Community Engagement**: Maintain effective relationships with government officials, volunteers, and community groups. Coordinate with community organizations for service provision and resolve program delivery issues.

  5. **Safety and Security**: Ensure the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures, including fire drills, to ensure the safety of residents and staff. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections and drills.

  6. **Inventory and Maintenance**: Account for the monitoring and maintaining inventory of supplies and other household requirements. Ensure purchases are within an approved budget limit. Oversee all short and long-term maintenance and repair projects for building and grounds.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a university degree in a discipline related to the position, with a focus on operational/administrative management, planning, organizing, human resources, communications, and counselling skills. They will also have five years of progressively more responsible program management experience, preferably in the social housing area.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the issue of violence and abuse against women and children from an intersectional feminist perspective, as well as extensive program development and supervision experience in a unionized environment.
