Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Newrest Canada's Dorval unit. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring presentation, freshness, and flavor.
• Monitor and control food temperatures, storage, and handling procedures.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Communicate with the purchasing department to report inventory needs and shortages.
• Manage food waste and maintain accurate records.
• Label and store food products properly.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and handling protocols.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
• Participate in cleaning and sanitizing procedures according to the cleaning schedule.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and handling standards.
• Complete HACCP documentation and participate in planning activities.
• Apply good hygiene and manufacturing practices at all times.

Requirements

• Culinary training and experience in a similar role.
