Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation of equipment and modifications or enhancements to facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical projects, including renovations of facilities and the acquisition and installation of new equipment.
  • Oversee the change control process and ensure that project qualifications adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ascertain project requirements.
  • Communicate technical information and concepts effectively.
  • Design and implement comprehensive project plans.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Handle scope changes and manage scope creep effectively.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments for proposed projects.
  • Lead procurement processes for project-related purchases, including supplier sourcing and negotiations.
  • Prepare quantity surveys and budget estimates, along with detailed reports.
  • Request and evaluate tender documents, specifications, and other technical materials.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, and commissioning of systems.
  • Address significant technical challenges within the facility and serve as a resource for problem-solving.
  • Propose innovative ideas and solutions to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Strong understanding of automated systems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of packaging and pharmaceutical equipment is advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
