We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at Aurora Lighting Technologies Inc. as a key member of our procurement department.
Key Responsibilities- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement and inventory management process to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
- Negotiation: Negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
- Product Sourcing: Identify and select products that meet our quality and pricing standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior buyers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Wholesale establishment or retail business.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
