Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize computer systems and GPS technology to plan or modify routes based on real-time conditions, aiming to reduce fuel consumption and minimize environmental impact.
  • Demonstrate expertise in mountain driving.
  • Exhibit professionalism in customer interactions.
  • Handle the loading and unloading of cargo efficiently.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Perform necessary brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Carry out pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all vehicle aspects are managed effectively.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch to relay information.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping techniques.
Requirements
  • Licenses: Must possess an AZ class license.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English is required.
  • Hours: Full-time position with 40 hours per week.
