We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will provide technical actuarial assistance in completing and ensuring the integrity of our Canadian Life & Health actuarial reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in IFRS17 valuation process and actuarial financial reporting
- Assist with identifying and implementing improvements to actuarial valuation processes
- Develop and maintain statistical models of valuation data
- Perform experience studies (Lapse, Mortality/Morbidity) and communicate results to management
- Assist in Year-end reporting, process improvements and other ad-hoc requests
- Basic programming skills for GGY/Axis, SAS, R
- Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) with all stakeholders
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Powerpoint
- Pursuing a degree in mathematics/statistics/actuarial science or a related field AND successfully writing preliminary exams of the Society of Actuaries
